About the Program
Street Soccer San Francisco is coached by Antoine Lagarde, 2009 SSUSA National Team member. In 2009 San Francisco's first year participating in the SSUSA Cup, the team took home the Leonsis Family Trophy as Champions of the tournament. In 2010 they were runner's up losing to the guest team from St. Petersburg, Russia in the finals. In 2011 the team placed 3rd.
The San Francisco program is operated out of the St. Vincent de Paul Society Multi-Service Center (MSC). The largest homeless shelter in Northern California, located at 5th and Bryant streets, the MSC shelters, feeds and supports 340 homeless men and women every night, and provides drop-in services to 150 each day.
