Street Soccer USA brings pop-up pitch to Raleigh as Part Of A Free Play Soccer Initiative In Partnership with The Bucy Foundation and Parks

Raleigh, N.C.— A pop-up pitch will be set up on City Plaza at 400 Fayetteville St from Thursday July 15 through August 15. The field will host Friday Night Futbol, Youth pick-up programs and adult open play times. In addition, NCFC Youth will also host tournaments at this location. This pop-up field will be a catalyst to an ongoing project to build new fields throughout Raleigh and provide access to the game where it often seems inaccessible.

“Our goal is to create a space that brings people together and, through play, provides a safe space for young people to develop important life skills” said Ashlie Bucy, Director of the Bucy
Foundation.

We are excited to form this Street Soccer Triangle with The Bucy Foundation, the City of Raleigh, Downtown Raleigh Alliance, Walk West, North Carolina FC, North Carolina FC Youth, Carolina
Courage, Sport Resource Group, and Raleigh Futbol 4 All.

The first week has been amazing, an Instagram user commented “Looks like the perfect place to “kick it” downtown 😉 😂 ⚽️” and we couldn’t agree more! Come hang with us. For more information check out the schedule here, and read more about the plan to build 25 fields in Raleigh by 2025 here!
