Oakland
AT SSUSA OAKLAND WE WORK TO ENSURE THAT ALL CHILDREN IN THE TOWN, REGARDLESS OF CIRCUMSTANCE, HAVE AN OPPORTUNITY TO PLAY AND DEVELOP WITHIN THE SUPPORTIVE CONTEXT OF A TEAM. WE WORK WITH KIDS FROM ELEMENTARY THROUGH HIGH SCHOOL TO SUPPORT AND STRENGTHEN OAKLAND COMMUNITIES USING SPORTS FOR DEVELOPMENT.
PLAYING FOR THE FUTURE OF OAKLAND
After School Programs
We partner with schools to bring high-quality programs to kids where they are: at school and on the playground. Currently running programs at Cox Academy, Markham Elementary, St. Elizabeth, St. Anthony, Street Academy, and Lincoln High.
Community Clubs
Our Community Clubs bring the action where players and their families live, removing barriers to play and creating a community-based social safety net. Our current Community Clubs are in partnership with Unity Council and Harbor House.
Oakland Street League
Neighborhood by neighborhood, bringing a soccer culture to the streets of Oakland. Every Saturday from 9am to 11am, join us at Willie Wilkins Park for our Street League. Bring your friends, classmates, neighbors, and family – it’s free to join!
